A child has an infinite capacity to imagine. You can almost feel the excitement in the showrooms of the Resource Depot as children's minds run wild.

Children create art from reusable materials and learn environmental lessons with games. Not only are these activities fun, they can also be linked directly to the Florida Sunshine State Standards.

Through hands on activity, students develop higher order thinking skills through pattern play. By carefully observing, categorizing, and describing the "attributes" or properties of three-dimensional objects, children develop organizational strategies. The task of physically sorting and comparing likenesses and differences is a natural way to build expressive language skills, foster creative problem solving abilities, as well as connect this process to chemical, physical and biological concepts.
